Book Description: Dark blue boards with titles in gilt on front and spine, decorative pattern stamped in black, small farming scene blind stamped to back cover, brown epps, 272pp, frontispiece b&w illustration of ' The name and situation of the external parts of a horse', Ready Reckoner to rear. This is a farmer's copy, back epps have pencil notes of cows 'served' during 1880s and 1890s, 2 loose paper notes with herbal remedy recipes for cattle. Head and tail of spine and corners are worn, some marks and scratches to edges of spine and covers, new ff epp, light foxing and some marks to title page, name, address of previous owner and date to front paste down. small tear to pages 57-60. Not dated but circe 1880. Text is clear throughout, overall a good copy of this interesting book. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Landscape Twenty-sixth Thousand Revised and Correc.
